i am a whisky man and particularly scotch whisky is the field of my interest, but what i found was indian whiskys' are not as much discussed on the web, and as i have some experience with this spirit, i thought of starting this blog and sharing my experience with you all.
now when i say indian whisky i am a bit wrong, lets take an example of scotch whisky. Its called so because there are certain rules assigned by SCOTCH WHISKY ASSOCIATION to call a particular whisky as scotch, they are :- the whisky must be distilled, matured for atleast 4 years and bottled in scotland. But in case of indian whiskys' they are not distilled nor matured in india except for the bottling. They are a mixture of indian grain/malt whisky and scotch whisky, they are only blended and bottled in india, so cant be called indian whisky.
But for knowledge there is only one whisky deitillery in india which is AMRUT, and they produce some serious stuff. Amrut whisky is called indian whisky.......yeah your rite ,its the only indian whisky on earth.
Enough of these facts ....lets get started with our whisky journey.............
